Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to deliver cargo on schedule.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight using straps, chains, and forklifts as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current DOT Medical Card and physical examination certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel regionally within the United States.
