Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Must be current).
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3 years with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight, or general truck driving is preferred but not always required.
