Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations.
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo security.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and maintain all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, routes, and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. geography, map reading, and GPS navigation systems.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
