Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles on regional routes covering NC and FL
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and support teams
- Document all deliveries, incidents, and maintenance requirements
- Represent Swift professionally while interacting with clients and communities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year recent tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with regional routes through NC and FL preferred
- Strong navigation skills and proficiency with ELD systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
