Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within 300 miles of Columbus
- Pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance documentation
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with precision using specialized equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Familiarity with DOT Hours of Service regulations
- Basic navigation skills and route planning ability
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
