Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on regional and local delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and forklifts when required.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for toll and fuel calculations.
