Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight across the region.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including ELD logs and bills of lading.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (for interstate driving) or 18 years (for intrastate).
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to undergo paid training if necessary.
