Responsibilities
- Safely Operate: Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition and cargo is secure.
- Load Management: Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and dock workers to ensure timely deliveries and satisfaction.
- Route Planning: Follow designated routes and navigate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- License Status: Currently possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) OR the ability to obtain one within our training program.
- Background: Clean driving record (MVR) and no disqualifying felony convictions within the past 7 years.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use a radio/phone effectively.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if necessary.
