Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers on highways and local roads within New York and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict adherence to federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, speed limits, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A is required (we offer training if you don't have one yet).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Basic math skills for trip planning and scales.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
