Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logs.
- Secure cargo properly using straps and chains to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Uphold a clean driving record and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or be willing to obtain one through our training program).
- Clean driving record and passing background check requirements.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently for long periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to handle minor vehicle issues if necessary.
- Willingness to pass a drug screen and physical examination (DOT compliant).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
