Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight safely and efficiently across the Northeast corridor.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo at distribution centers and warehouses in Washington, DC, and surrounding regions.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
- Ensure the preservation of cargo integrity and document any damages immediately.
- Uphold company policies regarding road safety and professional driving conduct at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work flexible night shift hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and safety procedures.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
