Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Safely operate commercial trucks on highways and local roads, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and be insurable.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Physically fit with the ability to climb in and out of the cab repeatedly.
- Experience with dry van or reefer trailers preferred.
