Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify potential maintenance needs.
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating commercial vehicles.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules and avoid unnecessary delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or B with tanker endorsement).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to cross state lines and handle hazardous materials if applicable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
