Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for transporting freight safely and on time. We need a driver who takes pride in their vehicle and their service.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently over designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured properly using straps and chains.
- Inspect pre-trip and post-trip vehicle condition, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT/MCS-150) and stay within hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding cargo status and potential delays.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, traffic laws, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with regional routes and the New Orleans port area is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
