Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on highways and urban routes, including navigating Miami traffic patterns.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Fulfill delivery schedules accurately and within designated time windows.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and local traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate and DOT physical on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of Florida roadways and familiarity with Miami traffic is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver cargo items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
