Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) on highways and local routes within the Miami area and across state lines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary shipping documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies regarding driving conduct.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and weight limits.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
