Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and within schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Manage cargo loading, unloading, and securement procedures to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs using electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
