Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and DOT standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Assist in resolving any delivery issues or customer concerns on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform manual tasks.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
