Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to deliver freight to various destinations within the assigned region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and cargo are secure and in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain all required documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure zero accidents and violations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
