Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport cargo across the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring cargo security and safety.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and adhere to all FMCSA regulations.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently, adhering to tight schedules and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
