Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Securely load and unload cargo using appropriate tie-downs and material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to schedule.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and potential issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and maneuver cargo, reaching up to 50 lbs as needed.
