Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Van, Reefer, or Flatbed) safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required paperwork (BOL, Bill of Lading).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
