Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using proper equipment.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time while adhering to strict delivery windows.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical on file.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of Virginia and regional roadways.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
