Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe, defensive, and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo securement.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and physical exam certificate.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and a comprehensive background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while driving.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
