Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver cargo to designated locations on schedule.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and stay updated on traffic and weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and route adjustments.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and local traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of trucking regulations, cargo securement, and safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting purposes.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's Medical Examiner's Certificate.
