Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and legally in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cargo and equipment safety.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, adhering to securement guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including bills of lading.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, compliance, and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical on file.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read maps and GPS devices.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
