Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading efficiently to ensure product integrity and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and stay current on all safety documentation and inspections.
- Navigate routes effectively using GPS and HOS compliance tools to minimize idle time.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes and delivery status.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety, fuel conservation, and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no recent DUI/DWI or serious violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
