Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers (Class A CDL) to transport freight across the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, hand jacks) as required.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Ensure cargo is secured and protected against damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Must be willing to travel and work flexible schedules to meet customer demands.
