Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in various weather and road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Deliver freight on time and in excellent condition, adhering to route plans.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (hazmat or tanker preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and safety protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation.
