Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over various road conditions to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure placement and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road geography.
- Must have a valid Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) medical card.
