Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation (Bill of Lading, DVIR).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
