Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure a safe journey for yourself and others on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations and inspection procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Proficiency in basic math for weight calculations and cargo documentation.
