Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over designated routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads according to DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation including logs (ELD), bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a clean driving record.
- Uphold company standards regarding customer service and cargo protection.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and documentation.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
