Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and professional manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Verify delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Navigate efficiently through traffic and adhere to all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo handling procedures.
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
