Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers safely while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch regarding shipment status and potential delays
- Secure and unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Represent Global Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of HOS regulations and Atlanta metro area
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
