Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and multi-axle vehicles on regional routes
- Load/unload shipments with proper documentation and handling protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance reports
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Ensure on-time delivery while adhering to DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metropolitan area and Midwest routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and time management skills
- hazmat endorsement preferred
