Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers in multi-state routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Load/unload freight with proper documentation handling
- Maintain electronic logs and delivery records
- Communicate with dispatch for route optimization
- Represent Swift professionally at customer facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience required
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible schedule including nights/weekends
- Basic smartphone proficiency for ELD use
- No major preventable accidents in past 3 years
- Pass Swift's background check and orientation
