Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently across various routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and protection.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and delivery status.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interfacing with clients at delivery locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience is required.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic proficiency with handheld technology and navigation systems.
