Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner following all DOT regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely using proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and compliance with Hours of Service (HOS).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and motor vehicle record checks.
- Basic math skills for accurate billing and inventory management.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
