Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in excellent condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading procedures.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize accidents and fuel consumption.
- Report mechanical issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card and physical examination on file.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo manually (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
