Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over assigned routes within the US and Canada.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card and valid DOT physical exam certificate.
- Prior to employment, must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends if necessary.
