Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in strict accordance with FMCSA and company safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using proper equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily electronic logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Navigate complex routes and manage time management to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and modern navigation tools.
- Physically capable of sitting for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
