Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) for regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Report maintenance issues and ensure vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
- Regional experience in Southeastern US preferred
