Responsibilities
- Operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional and long-haul freight transport
- Ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS systems while adhering to delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while following company procedures
- Previous experience with flatbed or refrigerated trailers preferred
