Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Transport freight to designated locations efficiently and within agreed-upon delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs and paperwork for all shipments.
- Load and unload cargo using proper handling equipment and techniques.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen (DOT compliant).
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime during peak seasons.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service attitude.
