Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, legal, and professional manner, adhering to all DOT and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the preservation of goods during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Navigate efficiently across various routes to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes or delivery issues.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A CDL license with the proper endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant) and Commercial Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
