Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on various road conditions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated locations within the Philadelphia area and surrounding regions on time.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying delivery contents and maintaining a clean professional image.
- Practice safe loading and unloading techniques to prevent cargo damage.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or roadside emergencies immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required; we offer paid training for qualified candidates.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting is a plus.
- Willingness to adhere to a strict safety schedule and work in various weather conditions.
