Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) over assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and unload freight securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, delivery receipts, and mileage logs (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Entry-level applicants with clean records are encouraged to apply for our training program.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) within the last 2 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and adhere to a strict safety culture.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
