Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Texas and Southwest
- Adhere to DOT regulations and conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging devices
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of specialized freight
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Hazmat placarding and securement protocols
- Strong knowledge of El Paso and Southwest regional geography
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for roadside repairs
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Flexibility for overnight routes and weekend shifts as needed
