Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Uphold a high standard of safety and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of cargo handling and cargo securement procedures.
- Willingness to work varying shifts including nights and weekends if necessary.
